Lindsay Hugenholtz

IMG_2492Lindsay Hugenholtz is a dedicated professional whose strengths include an ability to manage and influence large, complex projects; to navigate highly political and public initiatives; to provide sound advice based on analysis; to incorporate effective planning and accountability processes; and, to motivate staff through empowerment and independence. Lindsay has over fifteen years of progressive experience working for government, not-for-profit and private sector organizations in a variety of roles.

As a former Vice President at MD Financial Management Lindsay oversaw a large team who managed strategic planning and program deployment, business results, and acted as the communication and coordination hub for MD client facing staff. In her previous role at MD, Lindsay was the primary liaison between MD and the Provincial Territorial Medical Associations (PTMAs). She chaired the Insurance Alliance, coordinated the Presidents Tour, and worked with regional managers to enhance their working relationships with PTMAs. In  2011, she completed her term as the Deputy CEO for the Halifax 2011 Canada Games Host Society. Formerly, she was the Director of Sport with the Province of Nova Scotia and worked for Sport Canada as a senior policy advisor.

Lindsay began her career in sport working for the Canadian Amateur Diving Association and the Canadian Yachting Association. As team manager for diving, she attended the World University Games, Commonwealth Games, Pan American Games and the Summer Olympic Games. She also attended the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, 2006 Commonwealth Games, and the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games as part of Team Canada’s Mission Staff.

As a volunteer, Lindsay is the Past-President of the Board for Motivate Canada, and a former member of the Board for the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Sport. Lindsay was named one of the Most Influencial Women in Sport in Canada by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport for two years (2011 & 2012).
