Part-time Assistant

Hillwood is looking to hire a part-time assistant to support a variety of duties in our home and with our businesses.

The ideal candidate will visit our home 2-3 days per week (weekdays only) between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Timing during the day is flexible but we would prefer a consistent time throughout the week. Total guaranteed hours per week would be 8-10hrs with the possibility of more depending on your skill set and interests.

Primary duties include:

regular house cleaning such as dusting, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, and washing floors
seasonal deep cleaning tasks such as moving the furniture to clean underneath, cleaning the carpets, etc.
basic food prep
running errands

Other tasks based on interest and skills could include data entry, bookkeeping, and meeting note taking, meeting scheduling, etc.

We are looking for someone dependable and trustworthy who will commit to this role until June 30^th. Our ideal candidate pays attention to detail and will take care of our home and treats our businesses as they would their own.

All supplies are provided on-site.

We ask that you follow proper COVID-19 protocols: provide proof of vaccination, proper hand washing, practice physical distancing, and do not come to work if you are experiencing symptoms.

The ideal candidate is also comfortable with dogs and cats.

Starting pay is $20.00/hour and can be negotiated based on skills and experience.

We are located in Kars (10 min. south of Manotick/Greely, near Osgoode/North Gower) and there is no public transportation to this area. The ideal candidate will either live within walking distance or has access to their own transportation. We will cover the cost of mileage or gas for any errands that require use of a personal vehicle.
